Perks are permanent character upgrades purchased with points earned through levelling. They are different from Skills, which improve by performing related actions.
Perks and effects
Check the cost and confirmation shown in-game before buying the next level.

| Morale | Increase Max Morale by 100 |
| Life | Increase Max Life by 100 |
| Luck | Increase chance of finding better items |
| Strength | Increase strength by 1% |
| Defense | Increase defense by 1% |
| Speed | Increase speed by 1% |
| Agility | Increase agility by 1% |
Spending points
Later perk levels can cost more than early levels, so spreading points and specialising have different trade-offs. Before confirming a purchase, consider whether your current bottleneck is resource capacity, survivability, combat effectiveness, or loot quality.
Perk changes may be restricted or costly. Treat the in-game confirmation as authoritative for the current cost and effect.
