Money is the standard in-game currency used for purchases, services, and Stronghold construction and upgrades. Unlike Energy, Rad Immunity, Morale and Health, it has no regeneration timer or maximum.

Earning Money

Money can be earned by selling items to Shops or other survivors through the Market. Jobs, quests and other rewards can also provide Money directly or award items that can be sold.

Shop prices are fixed by the game, while Market prices are set by survivors and can change with supply and demand.

Spending Money

Money is used for purchases, services and upgrades throughout the game, including:

  • Buying items from City shops or the Market.
  • Constructing and upgrading Stronghold buildings.
  • Paying for services, trades and other job requirements.

Check the displayed price before confirming a purchase. Some purchases use Zed Coin or another resource instead of Money.

Storage and trading

Money has no inventory weight. It can be included in supported Player Trades and stored in faction storage when your faction permissions allow it.
