There is an abundance of resources scattered around our city. So scavenging is a daily, if not multiple times a day activity which all intrepid survivors are involved in.

Scavenging

Rad Immunity and Morale are both used to scavenge the different areas. You’ll start the game with 10 Rad Immunity to search with, but you can add more using skills points gained from levelling up. Experience is gained through committing scavenge actions.

There are four main areas to search, but only two are available right now:

  • Forest, needs 1 Rad Immunity per search, no special items required.
  • Scrapyard, needs 2 Rad Immunity per search, no special items required.
  • Lake, will need 3 Rad Immunity per search, a fishing rod equipped.
  • Cave, will need 4 Rad Immunity per search, pickaxe and flashlight equipped.

Both the Fishing rod and flashlight are unavailable in game at the moment, pending a future upgrade. So you will be unable to complete scavenging at the lake or cave.

More areas will be adding as the game expands.

Each Location

Each area comes with its very own scorecard below the area name. On this card will be a list of your total attempts, successes, and fails. Adding a little luck by using skills points on the skills page never hurt.

Types of messages you will see when scavenging

Two coloured messages will appear upon completion of a scavenge either blue or green.

A blue ‘You scavenge the forest and didn't manage to find anything’ message will appear if you have been unsuccessful.

The green ‘you scavenge the forest and found 2x logs’ is an example of a successful scavenge.

The items you’ve acquired will pop up in the bottom right-hand corner of the page. Any subsequent items found will appear in the stack of green messages.
